Wednesday, February 22

11:30 AM-1:00 PM | Middle School Parent Luncheon: Managing Your Digital Footprint (Heritage Room, Anderson Ice Arena). Allison Feign, an expert on child and teen safety, will be speaking to the 7th and 8th grade students about making healthy choices online. Online risks and dangers will be discussed so youth are aware of behavior that should trigger warning flags. Risky behaviors, including sexting and cyberbullying, will also be covered. This training is designed to empower teens and give them tools to make healthy decisions as they gain independence. The parent portion of her presentation offers information and advice on proactive prevention and parental support. (11:30 lunch | 12:00-1:00 presentation). 7:30-10:00 PM | Upper School Musical (Cargill Theater) | "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" | Book by Jeffrey Lane; music and lyrics by David Yazbek. Set in the French Riviera, this delightful musical follows a professional con artist and his young protégé as they make a bet to swindle “The American Soap Queen.” But just who is conning who might surprise you! Nominated for 10 Tony Awards. Suitable for Middle School and up. Tickets $5 at the door. Students are free! Performances next Friday-Saturday, too.

1:00-3:00 PM | Girls Lacrosse Clinics: Session 8 (Breck Fieldhouse). These free girls lacrosse clinics are open to all girls in grades 2-8, even if you have no lacrosse experience. Instruction is provided by high school varsity players and adult coaches. You must provide your own tennis shoes, colored mouth guard, water bottle, girls' lacrosse stick and goggles. (A limited number of girls lacrosse sticks and goggles will be available for loan.) This clinic will sometimes be offered at two locations: Breck Fieldhouse and Blake Gym, Hopkins Campus. 6:00 PM | Girls Lacrosse Preseason Meeting (US Dining Room). Player/parent meeting for all players interested in Varsity/JV girls lacrosse. The coach will go over tryouts, season expectations, coaching staff and team policies. There will also be a signup for parents to volunteer.

Be a part of our Breck Parenting Discussion Group to understand why it is crucial that parents are their child’s primary sexuality educator, how to start the conversation, and what kids should know at each age.
